Presenters & Schedule

are a balance of 'fresh' and 'favorites' at the

9th Biennial International WABC conference
held in
St Petersburg, Florida USA
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday October 21, 22 & 23, 2007 by World Aquatic Babies Congress - World Aquatic Babies & Children. You'll get lots of NEW ideas!

The educational event will be a gathering for learn-to-swim teachers and program directors from around the world.  With a wide variety of philosophies, teaching sequences and methodologies represented and showcased.

This will be the ninth biennial in a series begun in 1990 and traditionally features leading authorities worldwide on the learn-to-swim process for babies and young children. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of hotels, inns and bed & breakfast lodging ranging in price from economy to elite. A roommate pairing service will also be offered.  WABC has kept the attending teacher's budget in mind both for fees of participation and lodging.

Registration
WABC appreciates the cost of travel, lodging and food and understand they can often make or break your attendance ... therefore

Attendees can register for the entire conference or participate/purchase by the day - taking two days at the 'by the day rate' is close if not equal to the 'entire conference' rate - so why not plan to take in the entire conference?!!!   You'll be glad you did.

WABC non-member registration fees include WABC 12-month connection / membership fee. You get tangible value for the overage you pay coming in as a non-member!

Program passport members - all employees receive the discount.

Individual passport
members, themselves, receive the discount.

For details on WABC membership go to http://www.WABCswim.com

Lodging

WABC conference participants can stay in the location of their choice - that fits their desires and budget.

As few as just two nights in the hotel if that is what you want to do.  Florida-based conference attendees can drive in on Sunday morning and leave in time to be home if they wish on Tuesday evening - since the presentation schedule has been set to make that possible.

Participants from the Southeast United States will find that they too can have that same 2 hotel night schedule - flying in early Sunday morning and out Tuesday late afternoon or evening, if the want to.  Travel

For Some...Two Conferences in One Trip
This will mark the third time in the history of the WABC conference that the group has met in proximity to the swim school owners association of the United States - though there has never been a formal agreement arranged by the two organization's leaders on behalf of their members to do so.  The schools will meet also in St Petersburg the three days following WABC (24, 25 & 26 Oct.)  see Coming Events for further details.

WABC conference is focused on teaching methods, strategies, and sequences for infants, toddlers, and young children Some members of each organization have in the past attended one or more days of the other's event.  The fact that you can some will drive or fly-in Sun. Oct. 21 will save a night's lodging - and that one can stay at any hotel - they start at $77 up (lodging)

"The members of each organization have found their own way and enjoyed the benefit of attending an additional conference in the same travel trip" says WABC President Steve Graves.

The organization formed and series of conferences thereafter were initiated by Virginia Hunt Newman, internationally honored swim teacher and author of books on teaching babies and young children to swim.  For more information about WABC see the organization's website at http://www.WABCswim.com
